A new state-of-the-art parts department has recently been opened in the Umm Al Nar Head Office Facility to accommodate the enormous growth in turnover experienced over the last 4 years as well as to be prepared for the future. The parts department trebled in size to now occupy 2400 sq. meters.

A new shelving system, supplied and fitted by SPAN was chosen as the winning design with the highest quality of materials and workmanship.

Sajith Kumar, the Parts Manager for Abu Dhabi Motors has worked in the BMW family for 11 years, and acknowledges his task at ADM as his biggest challenge yet. We are a close, experienced and energetic management team who know how to deliver results, he added

Parts turnover for the last 5 years have increased by 46 %. A total of 27 people are employed in the Parts Department.

Growth has been achieved by expanding business opportunities through trade customers, retail counters and internally through the supply of original aerodynamic packages, wheels, life-style accessories and service growth.

Our staff is trained, guided and motivated well to ensure we deliver a fast, accurate and efficient service to external as well as internal customers.

Careful stock – planning has cut dead – stock significantly while the supply ratios have increased substantially due to intelligent purchase planning.

A new parts department was opened in the new Al-Ain workshop, but a much larger version is planned for the all – new after sales facility to be erected in Al-Ain during 2005.

Special offers and various campaigns are initiated from time to time to provide customers with enhanced cost – benefit opportunities. We always seek to provide the lowest possible price says Sajith Kumar. The high Euro has played an unfortunate part in driving prices higher but we are optimistic this spiral is near its peak. We have introduced financial measures such as hedging and average landed cost to soften the increases, whilst increasing our discounts to assist customers.

It is also highly recommended that customer with models 5 years and older use our Mussafah service facility where parts and labour rates are cheaper. This will prevent customers who have vehicles outside the parameters of warranty coverage to be tempted by unscrupulous service centers that purchase "fake" parts and install them in vehicles at discounted prices. These parts do not have the same engineering and manufacturing quality of original parts and can lead to life-threatening situations when they fail, in particular "fake" parts used in any of our vehicles safety systems.

For customer convenience the parts department is open 7 days a week from 08h00 – 17h00.
